Hatching Hope was one of the first responders to provide backpacks and boxes of necessities to Pinnacle’s residents at Royal Isles apartments in Orlando last year after a building fire destroyed their homes. The non-profit that has assisted over 8,000 families touched Pinnacle in a very special way when our residents needed it the most. It was our turn to give back.
As frequent volunteers for Hatching Hope, Pinnacle was invited to participate in a relay benefitting the organization at the NAA Apartmentalize conference in Denver. Facing off against industry competitor, Greystar, our teams raced through an assembly line to pack personal care kits for victims of circumstance like our very own Royal Isles residents. The result was as expected – a dead heat. But the boxes packed in those few short minutes will provide aid for more than 100 recipients. In solidarity for the cause, our two companies also agreed to give cash donations. Pinnacle started the bid at $5,000, which quickly rose to $20,000 after Greystar and vendor partners Liberty Rent and RealPage joined in. Together, we rallied to make a difference and it paid off.
Hatching Hope (https://hatchinghopecares.org/) is a 501 (c)(3) that was co-founded by Keli Lynch-Wright and her son Ashton Wright to support residents who are displaced from their apartments due to fire or other disasters. The non-profit provides air mattresses, comfortable bedding, much-needed toiletries, and pet supplies for the first night or two following an incident. To help children get through the traumatic experience, Hatching Hope also provides soft Teddy Bears.
Pinnacle enjoyed paying it forward by assembling kits and raising funds for the organization that has served us and countless other communities well. It’s a circle of love.
