Jennifer Staciokas, Pinnacle’s Senior Vice President of Marketing & Training, recently had the opportunity to give her thoughts on the “What Renters Want: What’s Next?” panel at the Yardi Marketing Forum in Nashville, TN alongside Kenny Emson from NMHC and Kevin Thompson from Bell Partners.
The presentation focused on sharing the 2015 NMHC/Kingsley Renter Preferences Survey results that included feedback from nearly 120,000 residents across the United States. Pinnacle was pleased to be one of 22 companies represented in this survey and over 10 percent of the respondents were Pinnacle residents. The panel focused on many different topics including the change of the American dream with the rise of the “renter by choice.” Also discussed were interior finishes and community amenity recommendations including co-working spaces, smart home technology and unit size based on demographic, apartment search behaviors, social media and reputation management usage, and resident services including package delivery, office hours, communication preferences and online payments.
Jennifer shared that her biggest takeaway from the survey was the first hand feedback from our residents about what features and amenities they really want in their apartment home and community and the amount that they would be willing to spend for each of those features and amenities. This great intel can be used when talking to our business partners for new developments and renovation projects.
